Learn About Parks at November Newcomers Meeting

The Newcomers Club of New Bern will be holding its November  monthly meeting, Thursday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m., at the Harrison Center, 311 Middle Street in downtown New Bern.

Getting comfortable in a new place is not always easy. Joining the Newcomers Club of New Bern is a fun way to make friends and learn about your new community.

Our featured speaker  for the meeting will be a representative from the New Bern Parks and Recreation Department, who will share details about  all the parks and activities available in our area.

The club’s monthly  meetings are open and free to all club members and to those interested in learning more about  the club.

Union Point Park is one of the many great parks located in New Bern.

The doors will open at 6:15 p.m., for socializing. The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. The club’s monthly meetings usually last about an hour and a half, wrapping up at about 8:30 p.m.

The Newcomers Club of New Bern  is open to all  individuals in their first year living in the New Bern Area.  The Club operates under the premise of a three-year membership. This prevents the Club from becoming “closed” because of size.

Our meetings are always open to visitors as well as to members.
