As spring approaches and the weather warms up, so do our Newcomers Activities. With all that’s going on, now is also a good time to offer special thanks to our activity leaders.
These folks volunteer their time to plan, organize, and communicate opportunities for club members to come together, explore the area, make new friends, and become a part of our new community.
They balance competing demands and differing opinions to provide opportunities that everyone will enjoy, and we appreciate their efforts! Of course, if you have an idea for a new activity or would like to see things done differently, you’re always welcome to volunteer your own time to lead an activity.
Here are some highlights of upcoming events:
Crafters

(From letterboxing.org: “Letterboxing is an intriguing “treasure hunt” style outdoor activity. Letterboxers hide small, weatherproof boxes in publicly-accessible places (like parks) and post clues to finding the box online on one of several Web sites…Finders make an imprint of the letterbox’s stamp on their personal log book, and leave an imprint of their personal stamp on the letterbox’s logbook.)
Day Trippers
– The Day Trippers are planning to visit Bentonville for the 159th anniversary of this civil war battle.
Photo Walks
