Newcomers Activities Roundup for Dec.:
Happy December All--hope you are ready for all of the fun and magic that is New Bern during the Holidays!
As you likely already know, there will be no general club-wide monthly meeting in December. However, there are two great opportunities to gather with all your fellow Newcomers this month!
First, step into the Holiday Spirit and march with the Newcomers Club in the City of New Bern Christmas parade on Saturday, 7 December! The parade kicks off from George St. at 10:00AM but if you wish to march, please plan to arrive by 9:30AM. Wear your cheeriest Holiday gear and get ready for a fun and festive morning. More details will be sent out as the date approaches.
Second, the highly anticipated annual Newcomer/AGN Holiday Party is Friday, 13 December! The event is at Carolina Colours Pavilion (3300 Waterscape Way) and doors open at 5:45PM. Hopefully you've gotten your ticket and are ready for a great evening. Don't forget to wear your fancy duds and bring a food item or check to donate to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern Carolina.

Boating Group: The Boating group will be participating in the
New Bern Christmas Flotilla! The event will be
Saturday, December 7th after dark. We will be preparing boats for the flotilla all day on Sunday, 1 December. Contact Dave Yasman (
dyasman805@gmail.com) for details. And come out to watch the flotilla and cheer on the Newcomers Club entries during the event!
Golf: The group hopes to have a December golf outing @ the week of 15 December, dependent on the weather being on/near 60 degrees. Look for further notifications from
Hiking Group: Our December hike will be on
Saturday, 14 December at 10:00AM @ Flanners Beach (Flanners Beach Rd,, New Bern, North Carolina 28560) with lunch afterwards at Carolina Grill. RSVP your interest in lunch to Joe Girandola (

Photo Walk: Annual Lights & Holiday Sites;

Wine Social (Newcomers only): To help celebrate the holidays, we will have two Wine Socials in December! On December 10th and 11th. Watch for the invite which will be sent out soon. If you wish to attend one of the socials, please RSVP once you have received the official invite from Judy Patten (you may only RSVP for one of the dates).

If you have not checked out our website to check out the calendar of activities, please do so, as there is always something happening. Close your eyes and pick a date and you will probably land on a pickleball or tennis activity. Click on the "Calendar" heading on the website, and you can choose to look at Activites/Events that are occuring by the Day, Week or Month. You can also choose to Subscribe to the Calendar and have it sent to your email!
We will also be continuing the 50/50 drawings. Make sure you purchase your tickets prior to the start of our speaker's presentation.
