Join your fellow Newcomers Day Trippers for some fun in the sun (hopefully!) at Atlantic Beach and/or Fort Macon on Saturday, 17 June. No matter your interests, there’s something fun for everyone to do: Explore Fort Macon and maybe watch a cannon firing demonstration (see below for URL with times and information), hike the park or one of the city loop trails and maybe do a little bird watching (see below for trail URLs), go fishing off Oceana Pier (see below for pier info), or maybe just sit on the beach soaking up rays and chatting with friends (see below for public beach URL)! No matter what activity you choose, let’s all meet up for an optional late lunch or snacks at the Oceana Pier House Restaurant at 2:00 PM.
Email me your interests by 10 June (andybritton@verizon.net) and I’ll let you know others with like minded plans so you can arrange meetup times/locations. And don’t forget the sunscreen, hats, bug spray, and cold drinks!

WHO ARE WE?
Finding your way in a new place is not always easy. Joining the Newcomers Club of New Bern is a fun way to make friends and learn about your community. The club meets at 7 p.m., at the Harrison Center, 311 Middle Street, in New Bern, on the second Thursday of the month except in July, August and December. Click here for our full events calendar.
