Since July 1, 2023, our board members have been working hard to master the details of their new positions serving the club. Proof of their success was our recent “Open House” held Aug. 22, 2023, at the New Bern-Craven County Library Auditorium.

Our 2023-24 Newcomers Club year concludes on June 30, so it is time to start thinking about renewing your Newcomers membership.
About 40 states are represented in the membership of The Newcomers Club of New Bern. We even have members who moved to New Bern from as far away as Alaska!
As the Newcomers Club of New Bern is completing another successful year, we would like to offer a standing ovation to all of our activity group leaders who month in and month out, schedule and manage fun activities and events for all of our members.
The club would like to thank Erik Heden, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service, Weather Forecast Office, Newport/Morehead City, for his informative talk at our June meeting on hurricanes and hurricane preparedness.
Starting June 12, 2024, when you start or renew your membership with the Newcomers Club of New Bern, you will no longer be subject to a $1 online surcharge.
Congratulations to Andrea (Andy) Britton who was elected at May’s meeting to be Activity Director for the coming year.
