Martin Marietta Park is the newest and largest park in the City of New Bern Park System. This park is located on the site of a former quarry previously owned by the Martin Marietta Corporation.  One of the trails is a 3.2 mile loop.  Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 58 minutes to complete.  This trail is great for birding, running and walking, but if you do this trail - it must be completed; no way to get off.  Either turn around or finish this hike.

Directions to Martin Marietta Park:

From the intersection of Neuse Boulevard and Glenburnie Road, the park is 7/10 of a mile.  There is a sign immediately following the storage center on the left.

No sign up - Just Show up!

If inclement weather is predicted, assume the activity has been cancelled.
